General information
Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, German Federal Data Protection Act, TDDDG). In this privacy policy we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on this website.
Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. You can generally use this website without providing personal data – beyond simply visiting the site, we only collect such data if you actively provide it to us, for example via the contact form.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify. The provider is Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Netlify”).
When you visit our website, Netlify as our hosting provider automatically records information in server log files that your browser transmits. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and serves security and stability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable provision (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Netlify is used on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. As Netlify may also process data in the USA, any transfer to third countries takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing it (e.g. tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case the data is deleted once those grounds no longer apply.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing, as well as a right to rectification, restriction or deletion of this data and to data portability.
You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
For questions about data protection you can reach us at kontakt@jstec-gmbh.de.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address line changes from “http://” to “https://”. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Cookies
This website does not use any tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. We only set a technically necessary cookie (“NEXT_LOCALE”) that solely stores your chosen language so that the site is displayed in the correct language version.
This cookie is required for the operation of the website you have requested; it is stored on the basis of § 25(2) TDDDG and our legitimate interest in a correct presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No consent is required for this.
Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. This is: browser type and version, the operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address.
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we process the data you provide: form of address, first and last name, email address, phone number, company, the selected subject and your message. Only the email address is mandatory; all other details are voluntary.
Your enquiry is transmitted exclusively by email to our mailbox and processed there; it is not stored in a database. We use your details only to process your enquiry and for any follow-up questions.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form, and – where your enquiry aims at a contract – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The data remains with us until your enquiry has been conclusively processed and no statutory retention periods conflict with deletion. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – an informal email to us is sufficient.
Enquiry by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
