Berlin Blue

Execution is Everything.

Our DNA

Why the colour Berlin Blue?

As you navigate our website, a very specific, luminous shade of blue accompanies you. For us at JSTec this colour is far more than a design element from the corporate-identity palette. It is our founding philosophy, our quality promise and a constant reminder of how genuine peak performance comes about.

The run into history

9.58 seconds for eternity

On that late summer evening, Usain Bolt shattered the 100-metre world record, setting a mark for the ages at 9.58 seconds. The images of that night went around the world — and with them the unmistakable surface on which the record was written: a brilliantly blue tartan track.

This world record did not fall from the sky. It was the result of years of the athlete's training, but equally the outcome of a masterful, technological collective effort. The blue track was not a mere surface, but a highly complex system.

The architecture of success

No cog runs alone

To cushion a human at nearly 45 km/h perfectly and return the maximum energy from each of his 41 strides, every cog had to mesh with the next well in advance. The developers in the lab, the makers of the highly specialised blue EPDM granulate, the producers of the polyurethane binders and the experts who poured the surface to the millimetre — all of them played their part.

None of them ran themselves that evening. Yet without the perfect interplay of all these components, this historic top speed would not have been possible. The deep blue of the track — quickly known internationally as “Berlin Blue” — became a worldwide symbol of that perfection.

What this means for JSTec

Peak performance emerges from the collective

This is exactly the approach that forms the DNA of JSTec. In developing and realising demanding consumer and capital goods, we face the same challenges as the engineers of the blue track: the best idea is worth nothing if the individual components are not perfectly orchestrated.

We know that genuine innovation and market success are never the achievement of a single individual. They emerge from a strong collective. We connect smart systems, integrate hardware precisely into existing architectures and thereby create solutions tailored exactly to the needs of our partners and clients.

Components

The best materials

We select and combine the parts that extract the maximum in interplay — not those that shine loudest on their own.

Minds

The sharpest contributions

Developers, manufacturing and partners mesh together. Each makes the best possible contribution to the overall system.

Technologies

Fused into a whole

From cyber-physical systems to modern manufacturing processes: we orchestrate the processes in the background so the record falls up front.

Why blue of all colours

Clarity in the decisive moment

That it is precisely this blue has a reason that runs deeper than aesthetics. Blue is the colour of the open sky and deep water — our brain associates it with expanse, clarity and calm. Where peak performance is required, haste is the greatest enemy. Blue calms without dulling alertness: it creates the space in which clear thinking, reliable decisions and focused work become possible.

Berlin Blue

Calm instead of haste

Blue lowers the stress level and stabilises arousal — the prerequisite for the “flow state” in which precision becomes effortless.

Expanse & focus

It opens up space and directs concentration. No resistance for the eye, but laser-like focus on the goal.

Courage to solve

Blue encourages the openness to find creative paths through complex challenges, rather than merely avoiding mistakes.
